The expectations from Lazio's new coach have not yet been fulfilled. Lazio has had a mixed start to the season, but can count on it's home strength. They collected all four points in this still young season at the Stadio Olimpico, where for some reason, they usually play better than away. With an impressive series of currently seven home games without defeat, the fans of the hosts will head to the stadium on Monday full of optimism. Lazio should play to win from the start especially since they have only lost once in 17 home games against Verona. Coach Baroni has the advantage of having the most capable team in his entire coaching career at home in the Stadio Olimpico and he should use that advantage. Verona has made a solid start under new coach Paolo Zanetti. With two wins from three games, the team is well on course to avoid relegation. After the 2-0 away win against Genoa just before the international break gave them an extra dose of motivation on their way to the capital. Verona have also lost just one of their last six Serie A away games, but that defeat came exactly against Lazio.
